Nope, I have no idea who Joseph's parents were. I have not even been able to find the two children that died. I have no idea what their names were. The two living children were William and Mary. I do not have much to go on. The story in the family, and who knows if this is true. Mary, wife of Joseph was disinherited for some reason. Either marrying Joseph or coming to America or they came to America because of this. Anyway, it turns out that she was left something in her mother or father's will and could only claim it by going to England and getting it. She wouldn't do it. From this I would assume there was a rife in the family for some reason. There was a John Bice (I think) that was around the Bulter Co. area. I have never discovered if there was a connection. I have not found a connection to any families around here. In the 1900 Census it states they were married England. So they married before coming and probably not much before. I would love to find out the story.
