Thanks, Terri. Perhaps I could check out Henry; I believe Pinder is associated with some Raders, pronounced Painter, I think I once read. The A. J. Rader in question was definitely not black - we have photos, plus, he was a redhead. As for the circled name, the date is right, and only one I can find that's right, excepting for the race factor. And in 1880, he was in Greeneville, Greene Co TN jail. From that event, we traced that his father, *maybe*, John, had him arrested for assault. His 'relative', Mary Elizabeth 'Mollie' Rader Duncan was the 'informant' on one John Rader's death certificate - her father. The John Rader's wife had been Cynthia Jarman, whom I cannot seem to trace. I think Andrew Rader's father was born in NC, and his mother was born in VA. At one point, a portion of Greene Co was NC. My husband's uncle told him that the family's line was from County Cork Ireland, that the last ones left were Mollie and John Rader, in Knoxville, Knox Co TN. They owned the property where a portion of the University of TN now stands. Here I could find John T. Rader, m. Mary Rader, d/o Peter Rader. But I can't seem to link them at the right point. I sure hope I haven't misstated anything. Thanks again, Jan Notify Administrator about this message?
