Thanks for your well-thought out and documented answer. And I commend your 'demand' for the accurate truth...that's what we all want.
I am one of the holders of Philip's handwritten journal (he was my great-great grandfather). The other journal is in the hands of one of his great-great grandsons. It appears that Philip gave at least two of his sons each a copy.
All of the other info in the journals appears to coincide with all that the Bible and Easterly researchers have shared.
