I truly didn't mean to malign his entire report, just the part that he had wrong regarding the Bible's.
Terri Strotman and I, as co-historians, have put a lot of time and effort into gathering documentation on our ancestors. We've spent the better part of the last 10 years correcting the myths and family legends regarding this family. Upon reading your message regarding Philip Easterly's journal, we felt your comments indicated that what he wrote was true facts and needed to set things straight.
I admire anyone who takes the time to write family information down, whether it be right or what they believe to be right. Philip probably did a great job on the Easterly side of his journal (I descend from Elizabeth's uncle, Christian and have no Easterly's in my direct line). I just hope the finding of this journal doesn't set the Eve/Ellen Ryan as Hans Adam Bible's wife into the picture again. I hope you understand our concern and our reactions.
