Is there the possibility that the name Bibeau is connected to the Beaube name? You know how names get turned around....

I noticed these two in my searches:

Jean-Baptiste Beaube b. 1818 Quebec, m. Sophie Gagnon

and

Joseph-Ferdinand Beaube b. 1871 Quebec whose father was Joseph Beaube.

My own Beaube family goes back to Jacques Louis Beaube of Cherbourg, France.

Just a thought -- I don't have any Bibeaus in my own family!
