The information I have on Louis Bibeau,which I have obtained through Grace Leroux Stella, from Eunice Nina Leroux Durst, grandaughter of Catherine Bibeau, sister of Julia Bibeau,and great grandaughter of Louis Bibeau, is that Louis Bibeau's ancestors go back to JACQUES BIBEAU, born in 1569, in La Rochelle, in France. while his wife, JEANNE SAVIGNAUX, was born, in 1603, also in La Rochelle, in France. I have not been able,so far, to verify the time and the place they came to Canada
Alexis Bibeau and Marie-Anne Dutremble's family (married in St.Peter's, Sorel Feb 07 1780 ) consists of the following children (list not necessarily exhaustive): Marie-Anne 16,18 Feb 1781; Antoine 01,02 May 1784, Pierre 05,06 1785, Jean-Baptiste 14,15 1788, Joseph March 1790, Angélique 12,13 April 1792, Louis 06,08 1793, Paul 03,04 1796, Marie-Joseph 05,06 April 1799. Yet,I have no information if any of them have married.
Louis Bibeau first married to Charlotte Larcheveque, in St.Peter's, Sorel, on July 28th 1829. He then married Lucie Raboin, in Louiseville, Québec, on Feb 24th 1835.
I am trying to establish the complete lineage from Louis Bibeau back to the original JACQUES BIBEAU, but I am lacking some informatrion. I would oblige if could help me. thanks..!Florian..!
