Lemuel Bibber was a son of the orig. immigrant James Bibber and Abigail Drew.
Lemuel settled on Haskell's Island, ME. He and his wife are buried there. On Nov. 4, 1773 he married Ruth Bailey daughter of Jacob Bailey and Ruth Jones. The Bailey family is one that has been around Harpswell, ME for a long time. Their children:
Charles Bibber b. June 9, 1774 d. Oct. 27, 1853 m. to Catherine Pinkham b. Harpswell, ME Sept. 12, 1774 and died Sept. 21, 1847, the daughter of Ebenezer Pinkham & Sarah Austin. (however other sources I have seen have her parents listed as Nathaniel Pinkham and Amy ?)
Thankful Bibber b. Apr. 19, 1776 died at Bowdoinham, ME age 84 years, married Apr. 7, 1796 to Reuben Blake b. July 7, 1771 he drowned at Bailey's Island, ME where he had lived for some years.
Hannah Bibber b. Dec. 19, 1778 died at Bowdoin, ME Jan. 1876 at 98 years old. She married Aug. 27, 1797 Alcot Stover b. Harpswell, ME March 10, 1773 d. Bowdoin, ME Sept.6, 1848.
Courtney Bibber b. ? Enlisted at Harpswell, ME in Capt. Johnson's Comp. Sept. 10, 1814 married his 1st cousin Mary A. Bibber daughter of James Bibber(James is Lemuel's brother, see a previous posting for info) and Joanna Bailey (Lemuel's wife Ruth Bailey's sister)
Warren Bibber b. ? went out West and then settled at Eastport, ME married Ann Colgate.
John Bibber b. 1783 d. Dec. 18, 1851. He built the Baptist Church at Harpswell, ME and moved to Bowdoin, ME at quite an early date. He and his wife are buried near the old South Church at Bowdoin, ME. He married Oct. 18, 1807 to Jane (Jinny) Doyle, she died March 6, 1872, and was the daughter of Capt. Jonathan Doyle & Huldah Randall of Harpswell, ME.

Please please please I urge you to check these dates and names for yourselves as this is a very old genealogy and has been known to have mistakes. However generally speaking it is very good, and makes a wonderful reference. I hope this helps someone out in their searching.
