Doesn't look to be true.

Joanna Bailey was the daughter of Jacob Bailey and Thankful Jones.
Jacob was born in 1729 to Jacob Bailey and Ruth Palmer.
Jacob was born in 1706 to John Bailey and Abigail Clapp.
John was born in 1673 to John Bailey and Sarah White.
Sarah was born in 1646 to Gowan White and Elizabeth Ward.
Gowan White was born 1607 to Thomas White and Joan Cooksley
Thomas White was born around 1570.

I'm sure that there is a relation, but it's not direct.
Gowan was the ancestor for this direct line that traveled over to the US.

Found a great website on roots web with this info.

So, good news is that we've got a direct line to the late 1500s. Bad news, doesn't look to be the famous mayflower.
