* I know I've posted about this before, but....

Has anyone researched the names Hanson, Drew, Varney, Austin, Pinkham and Meader as they relate to the Dover, NH area and how they could 'possibly' be a help or link to our research on our BIBBER family? I've just been reading through some VR's of Dover, NH and am astonished to find these names which nearly ALL came to Harpswell, ME too. Anyway, those of you living up in those area's will have better access to the records than I do, but I keep finding the 'Field' name too (which of course was John Drew's 1st wife's maiden name).

I noticed on the DREW page here that someone posted that William Drew (the immigrant I presume), was from Devonshire, England. I find that fascinating as Nana's (a Bibber), mother's COFFIN family was also from there and their branch of the family who was in Nantucket, then on to Newbury, MA eventually wound up in Freeport, ME which is just a hop skip and a jump over to Harpswell...shorter if you cut across the bay.

Anyway, I found this all very fascinating, and since so many of the old family names seemed to emigrate from the same regions To the same areas in America, it just made me wonder if any of these other names had been found on the Isle of Jersey.

Please see the MEADER page for my latest posting on Elizabeth (Meader) Hanson and on the HANSON page for info I found on William and his family too.
