Whooo Hooo! My roots may still be in Holland! Melissa, here is how I heard it from my grandfather. We were Van Bibbers originally, however, we changed our name to escape persecution of some kind. We changed it to Bibber and then Back to Van Bibber. It was my Great Great Grandfather, Charels Edward Bibber that changed our name back to Van Bibber sometime between 1900 and 1905. I do not beleive that any of his siblings changed the name with hima and I beleive that they are still Bibbers. Now, if you are going to do any research on him, He was born as Charles Edward (some people have Edwind) Bibber and he was the son of Thomas Henry Bibber.

I'll tell you I am so thrilled to be back on the Van Bibber trail. Please keep me posted if you find anything else. My email is bhvb@msn.com.

Take Care and Good Luck,
Brian Van Bibber
