Melissa, this may help clarify things with Elizabeth Hanson. This information comes from the Hanson site on GENForum, message #185, posted by Wyn Jonas RE: Isaac Hanson:

I am a descendant of this Caleb HANSON(5), too, through his son Elihu HANSON(6), who resided in Sanford and China,
ME (and was married to Rachel HAWKES) and his wife, Judith JEPSON (daughter of William JEPSON and Mary
GOULD). Caleb and Judith had 11 children. Caleb was the son of the following:

Isaac HANSON(4) was the son of John HANSON(3) and Elizabeth MEADER (the same Elizabeth HANSON who wrote
about her trials during her captivity with the Indians). His wife (md. 31 Jul 1734), Sarah HORNE, was the daughter of William
HORNE and Mary VARNEY.

John HANSON(3) was the son of Thomas HANSON(2) of Dover, NH Prov (John b.1681/2 and d.16 Jan 1725/6 in Dover).
He md. 23 Jul 1703 in Dover, Elizabeth MEADER, the daughter of John MEADER and Elizabeth FOLLETT. They had 10
children.
