Thank you for all the good information. I should be able to straighten my records out with what you have shared. Was wondering...do you know any more about the Edwards family connection?
When I was a kid back in the 2nd World War, my mother told me a story about being contacted by a lawyer out in Hawaii where our family was stationed at the time. We were in Hawaii from July 1934 to January of 1939. The story goes that there was property on Wall Street that was owned by a Bibb family and it was somehow connected to the Edwards also. My Bibb relatives in VA were contacted about the same time. The story went that every Bibb descendant would be extremely wealthy if proof was found that we were connected to that family. (My mother was a Bibb from Amherst Co., VA) When we came back to the states we were stationed in Norfolk, VA. A Mr. Edwards had built my parents house there in 1929. He was also contacted by a lawyer.
Years later, I asked my mother about this conversation. She didn't remember the story at all. I know I didn't make it up. Could you shade some light on this. Thanks again.
