Searching for info on: Edwin Lee Bibb - died 3-29-1926. Edwin was married to Sarah Commons. She died approximately 1909. I know of four children. Daughters: Izode (sp?) and Ida--married Henry Brinkley. Two sons: Walter Bibbs and John Henry Bibb who married Hessie Lee Martin 2-10-22 in Leachville or Manila, AR. Walter's second wife was named Roxie and they had several children. They lived for years in Cabot, AR.
Edwin remarried after Sarah's death. I believe his second wife was Maude or Myrtle. They also had several children, one of whom was also named Edwin.
John Henry Bibb was born Jan 13, 1899, in Hornersville, MO. I understand the courthouse there burned early in the 1900's destroying all records. John was named after his grandfather John Henry Bibb who was a "preacher" during Civil War times. Sarah Commons was half Indian--supposedly Cherokee. John and Hessie had four children: Charles Edwin, Dock Lee, Betty Ray and Sandra Kay.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have information on these families. John Henry Bibb was my father and Edwin Lee my grandfather. Thanks!
