I have a copy of "The Bibb Family in America, 1640 to 1940" by Charles William Bibb that was published in 1941. On page 70, William Bibb who was the son of John Bibb and Elizabeth Holcomb m. Polly Powell had the following children:
1) Elizabeth b. 1794, m. Mr. Sharpley
2) Dandridge Walthall, b. 1796, m. Esther Moses.
3) Nancy, b. 1798, m. Hezekiah Ingram of Monroe, N.C.
4) William, b. 1799, died 1875, m. 1) Rachel Simons and 2) Marge Pistole
5) Philip A., b. 1801, is this the Philemon A. that you are talking about? One of the things mentioned in this section for William Bibb is that he was was killed by his overseer, don't know whether this is true or not. It also says that after the death of William that his widow and his children moved to Mechlenburg Co. NC. It says that William died in 1791. Do you think that there might be some information available on the children of William in Mechlenburg Co. NC?
On pg. 65, there is a list of children for John Bibb and Elizabeth Holcomb:
1) William, 1768-1791(?), m. Polly Powell. That death date can't be right if he is still having children in 1801.
2) Philemon Holcomb, b. 1770 m. Martha Fuqua.
3) John, 1772-1813, m. Susanna Marshall
4) Branch H., b. 1774, m. Lucy Scott and moved to KY.
5) Thomas Holcomb, b. 1776, m. Eliz Sophia Bryan of KY.
6) Richard W., 1779-1844.
7) Susanna b. 1780 m. S. Carter.
8) Nancy b. 1781, m. Arthur Moseley.
9) Sarah, b. 1782.
