Danny,
I descend from Nancy Bibb, b.ca. 1771 in Alabama and her husband William McGehee (Jr.)
Most of their family came from Louisa Co, and surrounding counties in Va. I have not located the parents of Nancy. Her daughter Mary Emily McGehee b.1806-7, married A.G.Jones and named one of thier daughters Louisa Todd Jones. She attended a school in Ky. called the Marshal Institute. Have not located the school. One family letter mentions a widow Arnett..near Salem. Not sure which state, but the letter she was mentioned in was written from Decatur Ala. to relatives in Raliegh Tenn.Other family names in letters: Mullins, Tate's, Miller, a cousin Martha Bibb who married Wm. Hawkins (1839). Hope I've given you something to go on.
