My mother has a photograph of Catherine Corcoran and her husband Matty taken in the USA (possibly Boston Massachusetts) in what appears to be 1930's - 1950's. They appear to be in their 40's but it is difficult to guess. Catherine would be my mother's second cousin, and she would like very much to get in touch with any relatives. Catherine's mother was known as Katie (nee Buckley) and along with two sisters Mary (born April 2 1870) and ??? emigrated to Boston from County Cork. Mary later returned to Ireland, married John Fleming and had 5 children (Kitty, James, Denis, Margaret and Nora (my Grandmother)). Catherine's mother Kitty remained in the USA and married (name unknown). Catherine was her eldest child. Apparently, relatives from the USA visited Donoughmore, Co. Cork approx 6 years ago trying to trace relatives. They succeeded in finding the right house, however the late Mary Fleming's Grandaughter, Peg, was not at home. I hope this will trigger something in someones memory. If so, we would love to hear from you. Notify Administrator about this message?
