Ah yes, that does make it difficult. The same for me trying to find ancestors in Galway & Bedfordshire. You might try checking this site: http://www.newenglandancestors.org/research/services/
or their online genealogist

They'll do searches for a fee; not sure how much, but you could contact to see if they could help before paying, I believe.
I did find these on the US Social Security Death Index; think you can get more info from that on ancestry.com or the Mormon LDS Family Search website.
