Grinsell family

Looking for any and all information on my ancestors Thomas and Honora Grinsell -- born (1796/1797) in Kilkenny County Ireland, and known to have lived in South Boston by 1818. Known children: Edward, Margaret, John, Thomas, Hannah (we suspect there are more). Moved with the younger children to Java NY around 1840-50: did any of their children stay in Boston? Have no information on parents of either Thomas or Honora, nor Honora's maiden name. Roman Catholic, so church records since all children seem to have been born in Boston? Don't know if they came directly to Mass. from Ireland -- may be a Prince Edward Island connection, but we've been unable to verify. Also a family story of a name change -- possibly from Grinnell to Grinsell.

Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated.
