Information and help needed

Good day America,

I am 39 years old and I live in the Netherlands and I am looking for a male who is of Portugese origine, born in 1933 and is named José Paulo Martins Chiquito. He married in Rotterdam, in 1966. The little information I've got tells that he moved to Boston, somewhere between 1967 and 1970, he was a sailorman and he had a brother who already lived in Boston.
I am searching for quite a while now and discovered a lot of José (Paulo) Martins in the Boston area.
So I wonder if American Portugese only use the first part of their family name.
If there are people out there who could help me, either biy knowing him or have some information which could help me in my search on the internet, it would be highly appreciated.
