Searching for David's parents. David was born 1763 near Valley Forge, PA. and died 1841 in Tipton, Blair Co., PA.
His obit states his father died when he was young. David was a miller and made the finest flour. He went from Valley Forge, PA to Frederick, MD where he married. He resided outsite the city. The births of his first five children and their baptism recorded in MD. In 1797 he removed with his family to Sinking Valley, PA, Tyrone Twp.
He owned a mountain, a mine, a grist mill. When he died he had over 120 living descendants.

Family tradition states David's father was John Beier (as the name was in Germany) who immigrated from Germany.

There is a 6 or 7 volume genealogy published by the BOYER ASSOCIATION. The first volume gave the parents of David Beyer as Abraham Beyer, born ca 1733 Germany and Philipina Weyand. This is a proven error. This couple had a son David, but he was born after his father's death in 1773 proven by Orphan Courts Records.

Neither Donald Boyer, president of the Boyer Family Association, and genealogist, nor I have been able to locate the parents of my David Beyer.

About 6 years ago I located an estate of John Beyer whose wife was Florence. They had a daughter Elizabeth who married a John Beyer, and had three children (orphans) in her father's estate. Elizabeth's husband was John Beyer and they had a son David. This David Beyer - as proven by Orphan Court Records was born 16 months before David Beyer who married Sarah Crum. The court appointed attorney (guardian) for the children was John Beyer - obviously now there are 3 in Valley Forge PA area.

MD records seem to indicate David's mother was named Elizabeth and he had a sister named Elizabeth. But, I cannot prove this.

Does anyone have any clue as to who David's parents might be? Been searching for over 20 years. Thanks for any suggestions.
