In "Bewley Family Roots Newsletter" published by Shelby Jackson Bewley and dated September - December 1982 is a listing of the descendants of Thomas Duvall Bewley (1840-1914) and his wife Susan Matilda Nichols (1846-1930). The first child is Nancy Bewley (c. 1867-?) who married George Young. They had a daughter, Leota, who married a Mr. Templeton and had a child, Archilles.
The parents of Thomas Duvall Bewley are listed as Christopher Kimble Bewley (b. 08-10-1799 VA, d. 07-06-1855 KY) and Ellen Duvall (b. c.1816 KY, d. 03-10-1874). They were married at Hardin Co., KY on 12-22-1836. The newsletter also gives the names of Christopher Kimble Bewley's and Ellen Duvall's parents and a list of their children.
Shelby Jackson Bewley, "Jack", published the Bewley newsletters for several years using information from his own research and from info sent in to him from his readers. The information from this descendant chart is from one of his publications, "More Bewleys in America - Descendants of Christopher".
Jack died in 1996. Many of his publications and newsletters can be found in various public libraries and the Library of Congress.
