Proof of Service for Christopher Bewley

My line descended from Christopher Bewley through his daughter, Matilda, who married Jonathan Martin. I am a member of DAR through another ancestor. In looking up Christopher on DAR GRS, I noticed that women can no longer join under his name unless they prove his service. I found his service record on Footnote.com. It seems that he was sick for four months, and left behind at Bordentown Ferry. He was paid for all four, and then, I can find no other records of his service. I sent DAR copies. However, they say we still need some proof of service after he returned home. Do any of the Bewley descendents know if he signed an oath of allegiance, or served on a board, or provided food or lodging after he returned home? Did he serve with a militia?
