Michael,
That's a wonderful old picture- do you know anything about Nancy? Evidently, the Bewley's of Barren County, Kentucky are scattered throughout my husband's family on his mother's side which is the Payne family.
I recently found out that Kitty is Kitty Bewley- a cousin to Seth. Seth and Kitty had a daughter Matilda who married James Hayden Payne and Seth's sister, Nancy, married James Hayden Payne's father, Jubal Payne. I noticed when looking at the old photo on your website that you have a line of Haydens in your family tree. I wonder if there is a connection? The name Hayden as a middle name seems to come up a lot in the Bewley family.
