Hello, I believe my ancestor Silas Bewley, born 1789/1790 in Pennsylvania is a grandson of John Bewley and Ann Kimble. I am trying to determine through which child. To date, I have only found on line descendents of 3 of John and Ann's children, which are George Anthony, John and Christopher. If you have a listing of all of the children of John and Ann, and possibly who they married and their children, I would appreciate it. My Silas Bewley married a Susanna (unknown - I have not had a chance to search through Pennsylvania marriages yet to find the marriage and maiden name) and had 3 daughters that I know of; Catherine Bewley, born in PA 1825/26, Matilda Bewley, born in PA 1835, and Adaline Bewley, born in Indiana on Sept 9, 1836 after the family immigrated to Indiana. Adaline is my ancestor. There seems to be a lot of Matilda Bewley's in the downline of John Bewley and Ann Kimble, apparently named for Ann's mother Matilda Morrey, which leads me to believe my Silas Bewley naming his daughter Matilda may have been doing the same family tradition. If I am correct, Matilda Morrey who married Anthony Kimble would be Silas' great grandmother. One tree shows an Isaac Bewley as a child of John Bewley and Ann Kimble, and I found a marriage of an Isaac Bewley to a Hannah Davis on Feb 9, 1786 in Chester Co, PA. I do not know if this is the same Isaac as born to John and Ann, so if you know who their children married it would be of great assistance to me (or if anyone else knows who would like to post) Thank you very much, Gina Foster Notify Administrator about this message?
