I am not sure that the William Carter Bewley you refer to married Lavina Adeline Peck, there is a lot of unsubstantiated information about her husband. He is listed Wm. on the 1850 Gordon Co. Census but Wm Carter Bewley would have been only 15 years old and would have been marrying a woman who was 20 years old in order to have fathered Lavina Peck Bewley's eldest child, and he would have been 14 years old at the time the marriage license was taken out. I would like to find absolute documentation.
