My grandfather Henry James Coombs married Eliza Beves on 4th October 1885. According to the marriage cert. her father was John James Beves Wood Cutter. The address at the time of marriage was gives for both spouses as 17, South Street, Walworth.

I believe the name was changed to Bevis. Whether this was by accident or design I'm not sure.

It would be nice if there was a connection.
