Several years ago, before I determined my direct Bevis line from Thomas Bevis (1710, England)through Denman, Joseph W. Bevis (9th child of Denman and Bloomey), Daniel Wesley, etc., I erroneously believed that the Daniel Bevis in Delaware and Marion Counties, OH, was my great-grandfather. After spending two days in that area at courthouses, cemeteries, historical societies, and libraries, I was able to determine he was not. He was among the four Daniel Bevis's in Ohio and Kentucky living almost in the same time-frame, somewhat confusing. However, I did take several snapshots of gravestone inscriptions and property, free to anyone who would like them. This Daniel was married to Elizabeth Doughtery (sp).
