I have just seen your enquiry about Douglas Bevington Smith, which you posted five years ago. He was my grandfather. You have a few details wrong, but maybe you have discovered that by now. He was not born in Stafford, but in Stisted, a small village in Essex. His son, my father was called Alan, not Adam. He had four children, not three. The one you missed was Eirene, the eldest. His first wife was a Binyon, so I guess that is why you are interested in him. He was a farmer, like his father and his grandfather and his son, and one of his grandsons (not me) and currently, two of his greatgrandsons. What more can I tell you? How do you relate to George Binyon, his father in law?

I hope to hear from you

Peter B. Smith
