Allene (Davis) Joyner was born 28 January 1895 in Brantley County, Georgia and died 30 September 1977 In Ware Co. Thomas “Tollie” Joyner was born 14 June 1895 and died 18 January 1959. He died in Waycross, Ware Co., Georgia He was born in Brantley County. At the time of his death he had lived in Waycross for six years after moving there form Charleston, SC Lollie’s siblings were: Betty Ruth Joyner ,Shirley Joyner, Grace Joyner Edwin Joyner, of Charleston, S.C. Jack Joyner, Of Charleston, S.C. Manfred Joyner, Of Charleston, S.C. J.F. (James Franklin) Joyner Of Waycross, GA (have obit) Lollie resided at Baptist Village in Waycross, Georgia Lollie Mae Joyner married on March 4th 1939 in Waycross, Georgia to James Thomas Beverly. James Thomas Beverly was the son of Forest Jasper Beverly Sr and Margaret Inez (Robinson) Beverly. James was born January 17, 1917 in Argyle, Clinch County, Georgia. James Thomas Beverly died at Baptist Village in Waycross, Ware County, Georgia on October 14, 1998 at the age of 81. Music funeral home handled the arrangements. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. James served in the US navy during World War II as a Machinist’s Mate. Lollie and James had 8 grandchildren and 14 great greatgrandchildren. Jill Shuler cares for two foster children but they are not biological great grandchildren. James was employed by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad as a trainman. James retired from the railroad. Lollie and James Beverly celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1989. It was held at Captain Joe’s. It was a lot of fun and Lollie and James were very pleased to be honored. James was very interested in doing his family genealogy and had pursued this interest for many many years. He was always happy to discover new family. . James and Lollie were members of an Whitehead RV Club and had an RV of their own that they used to travel with. No trip to Waycross to Great Granny B’s and Great Grampa’s without a trip to Kettle Creek Cemetery. We would spend a lot of time there looking at all of the stones. Lollie and James lived on Winona Avenue most of their married life. They had lived in one house and then ended up building a new house next door to it. They were both members of the Winona Park Methodist Church in Waycross. Lollie was a homemaker and the mother of three daughters, Margaret Annette Beverly, Phyllis Angelyn Beverly and Carolyn Allene Beverly. Margaret Annette Beverly married John Lee Clark aka JL, or Jake. Margaret Annette and John had four children: John Christopher Clark Jill Clarkj Jay Clark Penny Clark. 11 Great grandchildren include: John Christopher “Chris” Clark m L Miller Children: C.B.Clark D.B.Clark Jill Clark married Samuel Shuler III of Bristol, Florida Children: Jennifer LeAnn Shuler Krysti Summer Shuler Samuel Derek Shuler Cassidy Niles Shuler Jay Patrick Clark m Tuffany Ann Douglass Children: Stephen Patrick Clark Stephanie Annie Clark John Douglass Clark Penny Clark m Frederique Francois Dominic Dran Children : no children Penny Clark m (2)Younis Mohammed Salamed Allhallaseh Children: Hannah Mohammed Salamed Allahallaseh Holly Mohammed Salamed Allhallaseh. Phyllis Angelyn Beverly married Phillip Cribb and had a daughter Dana Cribb. Great grandchildren: 3 Dana Married Rodney Kinnon: Rodney died in an ATV accident. Children : Dustin Kinnon Danna married 2nd to Mark Dixon: Children: Haley Dixon Bradi Dixon step great grandchild ??? Carolyn Alleen Beverly married John D. Gibson III and they had three children: Thomas Gibson, Amanda Gibson married Todd Swenson and Benjamin Gibson. Lollie was a seamstress and had made many wonderful pieces of clothing over many years.
