Paule Ann,

There is a book titled "THE HISTORY AND PRESENT STATE OF VIRGINIA" by Robert Beverly (son of Major Robert Beverly of Hull, England). Written originally in 1705; updated 1722; and modernized in 1947. It states the fact that the book was published for the Institute of Early American History and Culture of Williamsburg, Virginia on the cover by the University of North Carolina Press.

You might find this book in the Geneology Section of your library.

My cousin found the book in a rare book store. She copied several pages for our 1988 family reunion.

Robert Beverly did have a son John and John had a son Elijah, Sr., my great, great grandfather.
