Robert, I'm just getting into researching my family tree. A good place for me to start is to determine the significance of the difference in the spelling of our names (ley vs. ly). My thinking is that one is a distortion of an- other, but I,m not sure. This difference may have occured during the emigration process and if one was to go back far enough one of the two spellings would be the corrct original, but again I'm not sure. My fathers name is Francis, and my grandfathers name is Geoge Henry. Grandfather came to this country around 1884(approx) from England at the age of 18. He had 11 children with two wives, the first died rather young of consumption. You are the first person I have contacted. Would you drop me a line with any informaton regarding the difference in the spelling of our names. If you are interested I will give you all the info on my family as I know it. Thank, Lloyd Beverley
