Re your inquiry on Larkin Chew and Mary Beverley:

Larkin Chew’s daughter Elizabeth Beverley married Bever-ley Stanard, (February 1721—1765) justice of Middlesex in 1743, and soon afterwards sheriff of the county, who about 1750 re-moved to "Roxbury", Spotsylvania County, where he died.

Beverley (3) and Elizabeth Beverley (Chew) Stanard had issue:
1. William (4), of Roxbury and of Stanardsville (now the county seat of Greene County), was a captain of militia in the Revolution, sheriff of Spotsylvania 1802-04, and died intestate. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Edward Carter, of "Blenheim", Albemarle County, Va.
2. Larkin (4), of "Stanfield", Spotsylvania County, born May 1760. He served in the Revolution first as a cadet in Colo-nel Mordecai Buckner's regiment of regulars, and afterwards at various times in the militia (and received a pension). He was member of the House of Delegates from Spotsylvania 1798-1804, voting for the famous Virginia Resolutions of 1798-99. He married Elizabeth Perrott Chew, daughter of Robert Chew.
3. Beverley (4), died unmarried.
4. Mary, married ________ Montague, of Middlesex.

William (4) and Elizabeth (Carter) Stanard had issue:
1. Mary (5), married ______ Campbell.
2. Eton (5), married his cousin, Caroline M. Stanard and had no issue.
3. William (5), of Stanardsville, married Elizabeth Branch, of Powhatan County.
4. Columbia (5), married John Pratt, of "Camden", Caroline County.
5. Elizabeth (5), married John Thompson, of Culpeper County.
6. Virginia (5), married Samuel Slaughter, of Culpeper County.
7. Anne (5), married first Judge Simpson, of Mississippi, second Hugh M. Stanard, and thirdly, _____ Cowden, of Mississippi.
8. Sally Champe (5), married Walter Randolph Carter.
9. Edward (5) Carter, a lawyer who edited first in Rich-mond and afterwards in Wash-ington "The Spirit of '76" newspa-per, married Rebecca Carter, and died a young man, Decem-ber 8, 1800.
10. Beverley (5), married Mary Bolling Fleming, daughter of Judge William Fleming, and died without issue.
11. James Monroe (5), married and settled in the present West Virginia.

Captain Larkin (4) and Elizabeth P. (Chew) Stanard had issue:
1. Captain Beverley Chew (5) of Chesterfield County, lawyer, born 1779, died at "Summerville". Chesterfield County, July 11, 1823; Captain and Adjutant in Cocke's Brigade of Virginia Militia in the War of 1812; member of the House of Delegates from Chesterfield County 1805-1811; married Mary Bolling, daughter of Judge William Fleming, Presi-dent of the Court of Appeals of Virgin-ia.
2. Dr. Hugh Mercer (5), surgeon United States Army. He removed to Louisiana, and is said to have been president of the State Medical Board there. He married his cousin Anne, widow of judge Simpson of Mississippi, and died without issue.
3. Thomas (5), removed to the South and married Miss Plena-ry, of Louisiana.
4. Robert (5), of Spotsylvania County, and afterwards of Richmond city (where he lived first at what is now Ford's Law Building, on Ninth Street, and afterwards at what is now the West-moreland Club house); born August 17, 1781, died May 14, 1846; educated at William and Mary College; one of the most eminent lawyers of Virginia; long a member of the House of Delegates from Spotsylvania and Richmond city; Speaker of the House in 1816; a prominent member of the Convention of 1829, and judge of the Court of Appeals. He married Jane Stith, daughter of Adam Craig, of Richmond. She was the "Helen" of Edgar Poe.
5. John (5), of Fredericksburg, Va., colonel infantry, U.S.A.; served on the Canadi-an border in the U.S.A. He married Caroline M. Chew.
6. Elizabeth (5), married Dr. Archibald Wooldridge, of Ches-terfield County.
7. Kitty (5), married Christopher Branch.
8. Lavinia (5), died unmarried.
9. Caroline M. (5), married Eaton Stanard.
10. Lady (5) Ann, died in infancy.
William (5) and Elizabeth (Branch) Stanard had issue:
1. Beverley (6), married Ellen, daughter of Hay Talia-ferro.
2. Ophelia (6), married R. Hume.
3. Lawrence (6) married May E. Taylor.
4. May C. (6), married Colonel Wool-folk.
5. Julia (6), married J. Eddins.
6. Jackson (6), married Isabel Le Barron.
7. Dr. William B. (6) married Louisa Taylor.

Beverley (6) and Ellen (Taliaferro) Stanard had issue:
1. Mary (7), married W. W. Chapman.
2. Haywood (7), of Mobile, Alabama, married Sallie Chandler, and had issue:
Chandler (8), Anne (8), Trent (8), Edward (8), Flor-ence (8), John (8), C. William (8), and Haywood (8).
3. Robert (7), of Mobile, married Mary Battle and had issue:
J. Beverley (8).
4. Fanny (7), P. married J. T. Shaw.
5. Champe (7) C., married William Rawlins.
6. Jacque-line (7)
7. Beverley (7), cadet V. M. I., killed at the battle of New Market.

Lawrence (6) and Mary E. (Taylor) Stanard had issue:
1. William T. (7), married _______ Carden, and had Mary (8), Oscar (8), Burton (8), Julia (8) and others.
2. Walter (7) married Duncan, and had Mary (8), Lawrence (8), Lucy (8) and Rob-ert.
3. Mary (7), married _______ Bryant.

Jackson (6) and Isabel (Le Baron) Stanard had issue.
1. William (7) E.
2. Le Baron (7).
3. Caroline (7).
4. Isabel (7).

Dr. William B. (6) and Louisa (Taylor) Stanard had a son:
William (7) B., who married Mary McPherson, and had issue:
Mildred (8) C., and William B. (8).

Edward Carter (5) and Rebecca (Carter) Stanard had issue:
1. Anne (6), married Fielding McClung.
2. James (6) Monroe, of Richmond, after-wards a lieutenant in the United States Revenue Service; married April 3, 1833, at George-town, S.C., Clara, daugh-ter of Captain William S. Harvey, and had issue:
Medna (7), Alice (7), Edward C. (7), Mary (7), Har-vey (7), Caroline (7), William (7), and Harvey (7). 3. Elizabeth (6) mar-ried, first, George C. Nicho-las, and secondly (in 1841), P. C. Buffington, of Cabell County, Va.

Beverley Chew (5) and Mary Bolling (Fleming) Stanard had issue:
1. John Champe (6), of Roxbury, and afterwards for many years a resident of the city of Richmond, born August 6, 1805, died June 24, 1884; married in 1830, Sara Talia-ferro, born August 6, 1804, died October 4, 1890 (daugh-ter of Philip Thornton, of Spot-sylvania County, and Sarah Taliaferro Conway, his wife.
2. Robert Beverley (6), died unmarried.
3. William Fleming (6), died unmarried.
4. Julia (6), born 1809, married Dr. Archibald Woold-ridge, of Chesterfield Coun-ty (his second wife), and died April 7, 1839, and was the mother of Colonel William Beverley Wooldridge (7), Fourth Virginia Cavalry, C.S.A ; Caro-line (7) Wooldridge, who married Dr. Edward C. Archer, of Powhatan County, surgeon Confederate States Army, and of Julia (7) Wooldridge, who married Robert Temple Taylor, of Richmond, private Company F, First Virgin-ia Regi-ment, C.S.A.
5. Eliza (6), married Samuel E. Eggleston, of Alabama.

John Champe (6), Stanard and Sarah Taliaferro, his wife, had issue:
1. Robert (7) Conway, of Richmond, born February 18, 1833, Captain Third Company Richmond Howitzers, was wounded at battle of Bethel, and died in service October 27, 1861, at Land's End, War-wick County, Va. He married Virginia Martha, daughter of William Cowan, of Memphis, Tenn. (former-ly of Staunton, Va.), and had issue: William Glover (8), secretary of the Virginia Historical Soci-ety, who married Mary Mann Page Newton, daughter of Right Reverend John B. New-ton; and Robert C. (8), of Atlanta, who married Mrs. Louise Belle Langhorne (nee Morris), and had two daugh-ters, Virgin-ia (9) Morris Stanard, born Durham, N.C. Jan. 8, 1894, married April 14, 1918, George Lester Forbes of Atlanta, Ga. , and and Louise (9) .

Virginia Stanard was my granmother.
