Lenox/Lennix/Leonix/Lennox Beverly was said to have been born in Ipswich, Mass to John Beverly and his wife Mary Lenox. John Beverly was born circa 1630. He was living in September 1680. He married Mary Lenox in 1659. Although Lenox was said to have been born in Ipswich. Mass there have not been any records found to prove this. Lenox Beverly was born 06 May 1660 in Ipswich, Mass. He was one of seven known children, Other siblings were George, Mary, John, Abigial, Sarah, and James. Lenox Beverly was born 06 May 1660 in Ipswich, Mass and died in August 1729. He married 1) in 1684 to Mary Farrow. He married 2) on 11 January 1714/15 in Scituate, Mass to Sarah Oldham. Lenox appears to have lives from 1689 to 1706 at Hingham, Mass and from then until his death in Rhehobeth, Mass. He owned land on Rocy River in the southern part of Rhehobeth and some land in Swansea, Mass. There are many references in the land records in Taunton,Mass to Lenox Beverly and his sons, David, George and John. Lenox Beverly's name was on a list on 23 December 1718 showing that he was interested in assisiting in buildinig a church at Palmer's River. The church was situated mear what is known as Burying Place Hill. Lenox Beverly made his will dated 29 October 1728. I have his entire will. Children of Lenox and Mary were: Mary died at about age 9 James David George Elizabeth Mary Sarah Rachel John. I would be very interested in the info that you have. I have Beverlys on my side of the family and my husband who is from Georgia has Beverlys on his side of the family. My mother inlaws maiden name was Beverly.My grandmothers maiden name was Beverly. I think that my husbands Beverlys come from Virgiania originally. I subscribe to the Beverly Family Newsletter and have submitted my Beverly line from Maine for publishing in the Beverly Newsletter. My Beverly family was featured in the newsletter. I can not remember which issue though. I would have to look it up. The information that I have that is the most comprehensive info is from the works of Albert Mason. I have a copy of his work which was sent to me by a "Beverly Cousin" from Shawnee, Kansas. This man from Kansas has written a book which includes alot of Bevelry info. He sent me a compilmenatry copy which I refer to often and value greatly.
