Donna - We have Beveridge's in Aberdeenshire.
John Beveridge m Jean Marnoch in 1784 in Tough, Aberdeen.
Children were:
John b 1785
Peter b 1786
William b 1788
James b 1789
Alexander b 1792
George b 1794
Jean b 1796
Robert 1798
Isobel 1801
Robert Married Anne Revel and their son ( the only child I can find for them)Andrew, was born in 1820.
Andrew married Isabella Strachan late in life and his only son William was my husband's grandfather. William and his wife came here to New Zealand in the early 1900s. They had two sons, Douglas and Gordon. They both died fairly young leaving the two boys. My FIL was Gordon, and he was only 10 years of age when his parents died. Douglas was 19 and raised Gordon on his own.
Maybe there is a connection - what do you think. I would love to hear from you.
