Rebecca:
I'm not sure just where you got your information from but this is what I find. There is a Christian Beveridge born in 1807 but she is the daughter of David Beveridge and Janet Muir. There is also a marriage of a Christian Beveridge and John Strang in 1831.
James Beveridge (son of Alexander Beveridge and Christian Morrice) and Margaret Thompson also had a child named Christian, born in 1803.
William Beveridge (son of Alexander Beveridge and Christian Morrice, brother to James) and Elizabeth Hynd also named a daughter Christian and she was born in 1789.
All of these take place in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.
The question that must be asked, why did brothers name their children the same. Both children named after their grandmother Christian Morrice.
Could it be that the daughter of William died and therefore his brother, James, named his daughter after his mother?
I know this does not answer your question, only begs more questions, but it might help with your research.
As an added note Alexander and Christian are my 5th great grandparents.
Ron
