Also during this period, the pattern of development of Parcel 457-C indicates that Seventh Street was the most commercial of the street faces, while E and D Streets were primarily residential. Seventh Street was the residence and place of work for the hatter, Francis Mattingly (431-35 7th St.) and baker J.C. McKelden and his employees (427-29 7th St.).
