Beverly - I am very gratified to find your posting on the Beveridge web page. This piece of information on the Beveridge/Robbins family marriage and family distribution has been missing from my family genealogy studies. I so look forward to hearing from you.
According to my information, Elizabeth Beveridge/Beverage born in Athens, Ohio, is my G-G-Aunt. Her brother John Beverage, born in Virgina in 1814, is my G-G-Grandfather. Elizabeth's father is Henry Beverage/Beveridge, Sr., who was born and raised in Virginia and her mothers name was Mary Jones, also from Virginia. They came to Athens County,Ohio about the year 1820. Her grandmother's name was Elizabeth Louderbeck/Louterback, and her grandfather was John Beveridge/Beverage, Sr., who was possibly from Scotland - but still checking possible ties to New Jersey prior to living in Virginia. They were married in Shenandoah County, Virginia, 29 May, 1774, and moved to what is now Highland County Virginia sometime after that date. John Beveridge,Sr. was in the Virginia militia during the Revolutionary War.
Please contact me and I would be happy to share all of my family information with you. I have over two thousand names todate thanks to research and some sharing distant cousins. Still profing portions of the info, however.
We have an annual Ohio family reunion which is always held the last weekend before the labor day weekend. The year 2000, reunion will be held in Athens County, Ohio. Will be happy to furnish more details on this later.
