My Christian V. Bever was born 22 Oct 1845 and was from Indiana according to the census. He was a boat corker and worked around the Mississippi River near Hanibal, MO and Quincy, IL (right across the river). His first wife was in Hanibal, Mo and produced two daughters, Nettie and Marie. Christian left his 1st wife and settled with Elizabeth Howard in Quincy. They had four children, one of whom was my grandmother. I have not be able to find Christian's parents through the census. I believe Christian had a nephew named Sam Bever (or Beaver). Christian seemed to favor the Bever spelling. The family also lived in Keokuk, Iowa for a time. Hope we can connect.
