interesting! I have further information that my grandfather Guy Felix Bevan was born in Townsville 16/4/1884, the son of Edward Bevan (who was born 1855/56 and an artist in NQld and died in NSW in 1898 of diabetes) and Marian E Dye (married Morpeth NSW 27/7/1878). Edward was apparently the son of George E Bevan and Emily (?). There is good reason to believe that he or his ancestors were clergy referred to in Kilbert's Diary referring to clergy in "Krickol(?)". Any use to you?
