Hi Jane,

I'm related via the Bevan / Williams ancestry line, as to whether it's the same as yours I'm not sure.

My great grandfather b.23.2.1860 was George Bevan (it's my understanding he was born in 'Tredegar Wales' - not 100% sure of this though), and his parents were William Bevan and Eliza Williams.

My great grandfather George is an elusuve bugger as we just can't seem to find out exactly where he was born as there seems to be another family idea that he was born in New Zealand. Another query is that he was born in Wales, travelled to New Zealand when he was 14, then at some stage came to Australia. My mother said he never wanted to talk about his childhood so it was hard finding any information out.

George had 2 brothers, John Bevan, William Bevan (who was found dead of a heart attack on a beach in Buenos-Aries, Argentinia) and a sister Elizabeth Bevan (who lived in New Zealand).

George had 7 children: William (my grandfather), George, Theophilus, Elizabeth, Alice, Doris and Edna.

I'm not sure whether this helps you any, but if you think that I may fit in along your family line somewhere, then I would surely be grateful for some advice. Thanks.
