I'm not a BIVENS/BEVANS researcher but own a copy of the 1891 "Biographical History of Pottawattamie Co, Iowa" which contains a bio for STACY EWINGS BEVAN, b. Belmont Co, OH, Jan 19, 1834, son of STACY BEVAN, grandson of SAMUEL BEVAN, both natives of Virginia. Stacy's mother was JANE ROBBERTS BEVAN, b. Lancaster Co, PA. Stacy moved to Iowa as a young man and married in Jasper Co, Iowa, Nov 7, 1856, to SARAH BEALS. She was born/reared in Tennessee, daughter of David and Rachel (Hammer) Beals. Stacy E. and Sarah Bevan had 10 children: Arwilda C., Lindley O., Joseph A., James E., Elma J., Aaron L., Arthur B., David W., Charles, and Julia Ann.
