Does anyone have any information about: Mary Bevan, b. 1759 in Carmarthenshire, Wales. She married Rev. Henry George, and they emigrated to Cambria County, PA, where they purchased land (1807) and opened a school in the Baptist Church (1808). Later, Rev. George was sent as a missionary to Ohio by the Baptist church. He spent a short time in Delaware Co., before settling in what is now Morrow Co., OH (1811). He founded the Chester Baptist Church, one of the oldest in Ohio, and still active. While Rev. Henry George is buried in the cemetery behind the Chester Baptist Church, according to the marker memorializing her, the widow Mary Bevan George died in Missouri. It appears that one of the George sons moved from Ohio to Missouri, and at a guess, took his mother with him. Mary Bevan and Henry George had eight children recorded: 7 sons and a daughter.
