Yes,I would like to have the info on the other children.
Catherine left a will and I have a copy. It was made years ago, I don't know if I can make a readable copy of it, I can try. I did go to the library in the 1960s and made copies of newspaper articles about Fred Betz and the family. Some are so dark and hard to read. But, maybe I can post some of the data here.
I really would like to go back to the library and get fresh copies. I don't know if there are books on just the Betz family, but there is a book with a paragraph on the Betz family, and various newpaper articles. Fred Betz's death was in the Cullman Tribune, Dec 15, 1921, "Frederick Betz, A Pioneer Citizen Died Monday".
I believe Fred Betz had a sister, Susanna Mag. Betz b. August 5th, 1848, Niedersaalheim, Reichessen, Mainz, Germany, (not sure about the spelling). She came to Cullman, Ala. March 7th, 1873. She married a Mr. Brodrecht who owned a cabinet shop in Cullman along with Fred Betz. Her husband died March 24th, 1922. Susanna died July 5th, 1927. She had 3 sons and 3 daughters.
I believe the courthouse had a fire and some of the old records were lost.
I possibly will need to wait until I get back from my vacation to go to Cullman.
