Thanks for the great trade of information about the Keck's. The only other bits that I have in my files are the other children of Fred Betz and Catherine Keck, all born in Cullman. I can forward that to you if you wish.
I've read that Catherine owned property in Cullman. She also left a will on her passing. I wonder if a request from you, or a local historical society member in Cullman, to open the oldest files at the Cullman Courthouse could provide some missing info about Catherine, or even Henry?
Since Fred and Catherine were one of the first families in Cullman, I also wonder if there's some kind of biography, or even an autobiography, of Fred or Catherine at the Cullman library? If there is, then that would certainly be a golden discovery!
I actually had intentions of traveling to Cullman last November to research the Betz family, but circumstances prevented the trip at the time. It's still on my list of things to do.
