I am researching a line of the Betz family that moved from Germany to St. Louis, MO. Leopold Betz was born in 1843 in Rappeneau, Germany and died March 1, 1888. He was a Civil War veteran. His father's name was Johann Jakob Betz and his mother was Chrstina Waibel. Leopold had a daughter named Clara who was b. in 1876 in St. Louis and moved with her husband, Christopher Schultheiss, to High Point, NC prior to 1920. Unfortunately this is all the information I have, so I would love to hear from anyone else researching this line.
