Caroline Betts DIckinson ill in Seattle, 1928
St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, April 5, 1928. Mrs. W. Dickinson, Former Resident, Is Seriously Ill. Word reached The Chronicle this week from Seattle, Wash., of the illness of Mrs. Caroline L. Dickinson, nee Betts, sister of Frank J. Betts, now of Aurora.
Mrs. Dickinson is the widow of William E. Dickinson, a civil war veteran, and a resident of St. Charles for many years until 1890, when the family moved to Williamson county, where Mr. Dickinson died in 1896.
Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Dickinson and family returned to St. Charles for a few years and later they lived in Geneva and Chicago. Six of the seven children have lived in Seattle for more than 15 years.
No hope is hold out for Mrs. Dickinson's recovery as her illness is serious. She is 70 years of age. (Sent as a courtesy from a crumbling newspaper. Not related.)
