Is Dr. Josiah Thacher Betts related to the other Betts in Randolph County? He came to Kaskaskia in 1814. He served as postmaster for a period. He served on the
Board of Health for Chicago for a term. He died in Kaskaskia in 1850. He married Lucinda Hitchkiss in 1830. He was 46 years old then. He had two children with her. Did he have others? Was he married before? He died in 1850 and is buried in Garrison Hill. I am seeking a previous marriage and children.
