My g g grandfather was a Nicholas Bettler who was born in Germany as was his wife Frances Stephany. They had at least two sons John b.1865 & Joseph b. 1871 (my g grandfather) Joseph and his wife Mary Elison another family from the Reading area had 8 children who survived to adulthood, a few died during the swine flu period, they are Karl, Paul, Edward V. b. 1901 (my grandfather), Dorothy, Florence, Clara, Marie, and Mildred. Names that married into this family are Eisenhower, Naftzinger,Miller,DeLong, and Longacre. My grandfather moved to NJ. If you recognize any of these individuals it would be greatly appreciated. My great grandparents Joseph and Mary lived on Oley St. in Reading.
