Looking for the parents and lineage of Tillman Patterson Bettis born 06-Oct-1788 in North Carolina near the Virginia border. He married Sarah Sallie Carr in Wilson Co., TN
10-May-1809 and they settled in Memphis. Despite his prominence as one of the first settlers of Shelby County, TN, none of the reference books I have found say anything about his parents or siblings. Can anyone help?
