Brenda, Have you come across the names of Pool or Strickland, with your Bettingers?

I am working on the Pool family of Clay, NY. A. C. Pool (b. ca 1776) m. Polly Woodward (b. ca 1798). I know they had sons Nathaniel W. and John F.

In the 1850 Census, Naomi Pool (age 18) is living in the A. C. Pool household. In the 1870 Census, Samuel Strickland household of Clay, wife Naomi (age 40), and Polly Pool (age 82), lead me to believe that Naomi is a daughter of A. C. & Polly Pool.

In the 1860 Census, Sara Ann (age 29) and Hulda (age 1) are in the A. C. Pool household. In the 1880 Census, I found the Sarah Strickland household, in Clay, with: Hulda (age 21), Jay (age 18), and Libbie (age 7). In the 1900 Census, I found the Walter Groesbeck household, in Lysander, with mother-in-law Sarah Strickland (age 69), and wife Libbie (age 26). At first I thought Sara Ann was A. C. & Polly's daughter-in-law, now I'm not sure.

Sarah
